Air conditioners work by removing heat and moisture from the air in a room or building, and then circulating cool and dehumidified air back into that space. Air conditioners provide cool air through refrigerant, evaporation, compression, condensation, and expansion. The blower fan forces air across the cold coil to provide cool air. The refrigerant then travels back to the compressor to begin the cycle again.

Burgess Heating & Air offers a host of energy efficient air conditioners by Trane and other manufacturers. Some advanced models offer SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) of 26.00. Starting in January 2023. the minimum efficiency standard in Florida is 15 SEER.
