Signs You Need a New Heating System

Not sure if it’s time for a new heating system? There are a few tell-tale signs that your system is struggling and needs to be replaced.

  • Your heating bills have increased significantly
  • Your unit is over 12 years old
  • There are strange noises coming from your system
  • You home isn’t heating evenly or at all

If you experience any of the above issues, it may be time for a replacement.

Types of Heating Systems

Straight Cool – When it comes to heating your home, straight cool systems are generally less energy-efficient than heat pumps as they do not take advantage of the ambient outdoor temperature for heating. Instead, the system blows air over this heat strip and as a result, the air warms up as it passes through your system and into your home.

Heat Pump – A heat pump works like an air conditioner in reverse; instead of keeping your home cool, it uses the refrigerant to warm your home.

Furnaces – Gas furnaces, oil furnaces, and electric furnaces are the least common types of heating systems installed in homes in Florida. In general, furnaces work with existing ductwork and vents to transport warm air through your home.

Choosing the Right Heating System for Your Home

Each type of heating system has its advantages and disadvantages. At Burgess, we want to help you select the best system for your home. Prioritizing your needs, comfort, and budget is incredibly important to us and our goal is to instill confidence that no matter what system you select, your decision was the correct one. We also want to ensure you and your familyare safe and comfortable on your property with the best, most effective heating system in place.

Our Installation Process

Our Comfort Specialist begins by inspecting your home and current heating system. We will take note of the size of your property, air ducts, and other details that will help us make appropriate recommendations for a new heating system. Once we complete our inspection, we will create a list of system options to present to you. We’ll go over these options with you and explain why each system is a good option for your property and heating needs.

After you select the perfect system, we will set up a day for installation which is often times the next day. Upon arrival, our team of installers will disconnect and remove your current heating system. Once removed, we’ll carefully but quickly install your new system. We’ll test the unit extensively to ensure it is providing the warmth you and your family needs. We’ll then clean up any debris and make sure your property is as clean if not cleaner than when we began the project. When the work is complete our team will patiently go over the features and operation of your new system and answer any and all questions you may have.

Installing a new heating system is an involved process, but our technicians will work to limit our time in your home so you can focus on your personal and professional responsibilities. Most installations are completed in one day.
